Visa applicants who have their interviews schedule during that time will have to visit the old facility for interviews. All other visas services – including biometrics appointments, “dropbox” appointments (interview waiver), and passport pickup – will continue to take place at the Visa Application Center (VAC).The operations in new facility will begin from March 20.

The United States Consulate is opening a state-of-the-art $340 million building in Hyderabad’s Nanakramguda area, representing a tangible investment by the United States in growing the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership. Ahead of the move, the U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad announced changes for Consular services

Consulate will be closed for public from March 15 to March 20. Visa applicants who have their interviews schedule during that time will have to visit the old facility for interviews. All other visas services – including biometrics appointments, “dropbox” appointments (interview waiver), and passport pickup – will continue to take place at the Visa Application Center (VAC).

The operations in new facility will begin from March 20.

The US citizens requiring emergency consular services between now and 8.30 am on March 20 can call 91 040 4033 8300. Starting 8.30 am on March 20, the US citizens who require emergency consular services should call 91 040 6932 8000 and those with non-emergency consular questions were encouraged to email HydACS@state.gov, it said.
